Shabgard’s first full-length album: six songs written between midnight and sunrise in Tehran
6 downloads
Until Morning is the debut album of Shabgard. Kamran and Hooman wrote the songs over one winter, mostly after their shows, walking home through a city that never quite goes to sleep
The record moves from the restless guitars of “Streetlights” to the slow, open ending of “Dawn on the Rooftop”. It was recorded live in a rehearsal room with as few overdubs as possible
In the demo, every track is a short placeholder piece that stands in for the real recording

Until Morning
The tea is cold, the window is wide,
the city hums on the other side.
We count the lights that refuse to fade,
we keep the promises the night has made
Stay until morning, stay until the sky turns grey,
stay until morning, there is nothing left to say
