Biography

Kamran trained in classical Persian vocal repertoire as a teenager and found the guitar and rock music a few years later. The result is a voice that knows the old modes and is not afraid of today’s rhythms

When he is not on stage he photographs the streets of Tehran: a bus stop at dawn, a shop closing for the night, two strangers sharing an umbrella. He also runs street photography workshops
